I have just been to Mathew street, beside the statue of John were candles, flowers and messages of love. He would have been 66 years old today.

    Here in the US we had the day off for "Columbus Day" I referred to it as "Lennon Day" and it became a legitamite holiday.

        Happy Birthday as well to Sean Lennon! Remember folks? Yoko had Sean on John's birthday, Oct. 9, 1975.

          Yes - and you know, they're still playing John songs on the radio -- started Oct 8th, when I heard a Peter Gabriel cover of "Walrus" from "All this and WW 2: (!), (John LoVeD to hear his songs covered).... then of course 'Imagine" and later all his most agitated protest songs (yay!) on both KCRW and a classic rock station Oct 9th... , and now today, both some more recent covers and another love song to Yoko from a recent remix, again on KCRW --

          It would be nice if we heard "Beautiful Boy" on Oct 9th next year, for Sean - that would be cool.
