Sat, June 18, 2005 - 11:55 PMLennon and Dylan influenced me the most. The first Beatles album I got as a kid in early '64 had as the back liner notes a list of things important about the Beatles; schools, favorite foods, occupation.
McCartney listed "student" as his occupation. Lennon said "poet."
I was not yet 9 years old, but it was then that I thought of "poet" as an occupation.
My master's in lit began then as well...
